GO NUDE

So today after an alrite saturday night and Ivy staying over at mine, we went to Bricle Lane
(Brick Lane)
and looked around the vintage market, after coming round some beautiful clothing in a stall NeverFullyDressed and found a few nice frocks in a nude pallete which is perfect for this season, and that goes well with pearls and a denim shirt.

But after a short browse we had a look around and delved in to the pic n mix stall and a few other lovely lil vintage shops aswell as the vintage market where we found a gorgeous yellow high waisted skirt that I bought for £10 and will (somewhat unwillingly) share.

After this escapade we all went our seperate ways and I went to Angel and found my aladdins cave otherwise known as
Camden Passage...there is a row of shops, i followed the shops and came across countless vintage and retro boutiques. One of which was called the Fat Faced Cat.

The Fat Faced Cat
is a small cove of exsclusive clothing, luggage, accesories and shoes. I came across French styled purses and a Christian Dior jacket as well as a very kind shop owner who is off to L.A to get more stock this wednesday I believe.

I then headed down to
shock and soul, one of my favourite vintage shops based on essex road, the sale is on the clohes are out and the glorious finds you can get from there include a brown snakeskin bags and purses that can be worn with almost everything, doc martens in cranberry for £45 and the all time favourite bodycon skirts, in every and any print you can imagine.... nice stuff.

Saturday Night Bitches

picture this: its saturday night,Me (its Esme F.Y.I) and Jen were at mine trying to make ourselves look beautiful... and bohoy did it work... The Results:

Jen
-
in a inside out green skirt that was turned up to show off her long legs, with a black vest top, cardigan, hoodie and denim jacket aswell as a fleece over the top.You may be wondering .. Fleece..huh? BUT since you were able to see the layering you can tell that a fleece can be wrong in a few ways, but right in much more... if you wear it right of course ;)

Esme- wearing a high waisted floral skirt often found in the beloved HandM. but teaming it off with a semi backless black top which was also SEMI- see through (Vintage) :) after that, the skirt from HandM didnt become a skirt from HandM .. it became MY skirt. I rounded this off with a black cardigan and denim jacket as well as a brown snakeskin bag from Urban Outfitters sale.

Smiles all round.

We were ready to go out and after deliberation on the floor of the tube station we decided, fuck it. We'll go wherever and see what happens... and we did. It was full moon on saturday night, here in London... anything could happen.

THE NEW YEAR BRINGS...

The new year brings ,more interesting trends, trilby hats are making an appearance this year and have been worn with pride and style by many celebrities, but how can WE pull of a trillby hat..

Taylor Momsen;Gossip Girl star, wearing the trillby perfectly.
Blake Lively has got the raybans going for her :)

Anna Friel pulling the hat off beautifully.

Wear it with long hair, to soften the whole "look" or short hair to sharpen it, a pair of ray bans go well with it as Blake Lively shows us. But as for the outfit... with a rock'n'roll/vintage trillby you can dress it up or down.. but its cold.. so I would stick to a nice coat.

BEING GREEN

Ever since the buy of my first American Apparel Forest green hoodie, I fell in LOVE with the colour green. When I went fishing around in Absolute Vintage for the first time with Jen and Ivy for, not anything inparticular I came across THE dress... yes, THE dress that when I am older I will be going on a HUGE diet to fit into... THAT dress.
It's also green.

BRICK LANE

Trip to brick lane with Lola (the lovely girl with the ability to quote Withnail&I for 2 hours straight) and Esmee to FINALLY buy her that oh so wonderful vintage green dress from Absolute Vintage <- a must visit for any brick lane fanatic (pictures will come later)
~~however we have aquired a taste for the expensive:
tail coats, velvet jackets, flapper dresses, sequin tops , are among the out-of-reach
brick lane is, as you probably know filled with odds and ends, vintage shops, fanastic curry houses and the most vibrant (if slightly drunk) street sellers.
im on the hunt for a short black faux fur coat and so esmee and i were coaxed into yet another stall, on the first floor wich turned out to be the ultimate vintage haven with free cake and in door smoking what mor could you want ?
heres the adress if your interested :
avantghard showroom
bricklane 184 -flat 1
E1 6SA

even though there has been a serious lack of funds there have been some succeses such as THAT green dress, some 80's parrot earrings and a forest green velvet waistcoat (score)
